DON’T PARK ON THE FOOTWAY
Parking on the footway is the most dangerous and annoying temporary obstacle to blind and partially sighted pedestrians.
Parking on the footway causes inconvenience to all pedestrians, particularly those using wheelchairs or pushing prams and pushchairs.
Parking on the footway is a major cause of damage to the surface of the footway and has significant maintenance implications.
Driving on the footway in order to park is an offence under Section 129 The Roads (Scotland) Act 1984.
