DON'T PARK AT DROPPED KERBS

Dropped kerbs should be kept clear at all times:

Dropped kerbs are provided by Scottish Borders Council to assist pedestrians in crossing streets. They are of particular benefit to the elderly, the disabled and parents with prams or pushchairs.

Parking across dropped kerbs causes great inconvenience and creates potential danger, particularly for the groups identified above.

The Police have powers under The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to remove any vehicle which causes an obstruction.
