History - Trimontium Roman site near Melrose

Trimontium is the site of a Roman Settlement near Melrose. A "The Three Hills" exhibition is in the centre of Melrose at the Ormiston Institute.
Accessible building and most exhibits can be viewed from wheelchair level.
The Trimontium site has some Information panels on the route between Newstead, near Melrose and Leaderfoot Viaduct. The Trimontium stone is also seen on this old road which is easiest walked in this direction as it is downhill.
