Forests - Glentress, near Peebles, Ponds walk and Osprey viewing centre

FORESTRY COMMISSION SCOTLAND - GLENTRESS FOREST by PEEBLES
Open all year. Access viewpoints, picnic sites, and a trail around the two ponds. Further Access along the other forest roads including to the Iron Age Hut may be possible by arrangement.
P Parking at viewpoints and Picnic areas - no special provision
WC Wheelchair access toilet at Red Squirrel Car Park and at Hub Cafe.

THE PONDS WALK (GLENTRESS)
For the Ponds walk park at the Red Squirrel Car park where the toilets and leaflet dispensers are. The 500 metre trail is a hard path with one steep section near the far end of the top pond. There are accessible picnic tables along the path.
Look out for damselflies in summer.

OSPREY VIEWING CENTRE (GLENTRESS)
Disabled parking adjacent to centre Osprey viewing centre open 7 days a week in summer months (June to August)
