Forests - Cardrona Forest near Peebles

FORESTRY COMMISSION SCOTLAND - CARDRONA FOREST
Forest tracks provide easy access to stream edge and edge of forest. Slightly sloping paths, firm in dry weather. Some broadleaf trees near picnic area at Car Park. Follow main track up burn for a few hundred metres beyond gate then return when track becomes steep. Tall forest trees. Spruce, and other timber trees. Leaflet dispenser at toilets.
Look out for bat boxes, alder, squirrels, blue tits, great tits, coal tits, robins.
Also the nearby woodland along the roadside by the River Tweed has a good show of bluebells in Spring.
