History - William Wallace statue near Dryburgh, St Boswells, Melrose

Red Sandstone statue of William Wallace. Views of Eildon Hills and surrounding area. Hard surfaced footpath from car park is approximately 1km (half a mile or so)long. Path is fairly level and hard. Path goes right up to base of statue with short slightly gravelly section below statue to view and urn with inscription.
Walk takes you through woodland and near farmland.
Look out for woodland flowers and birds and a tame chaffinch.
Disabled access parking in Car Park.
How to get there. The car park is signed from the minor road between Dryburgh and Scotts View.
