Rivers - Selkirk Riverside path

Selkirk Riverside footpaths by the River Ettrick
Start at Selkirk Swimming Pool car park.
From the end of the car park follow the riverside path downstream a short distance to a ramped bridge. Cross the river and go through a small gate to the riverside woodland area. Stay on the tarmac path. This is a mainly level path, with some slightly narrow sections and one short steep section. Cross the ramped bridge across the river and return to the car park via further level tarmac path through the open park areas with trees and grass. Total distance is around one and a half miles.
Look out for: Alder, willow, sycamore, ash, Ramsons, foxgloves, Cuckoo flower, butterbur.
